LittleGaijin, well that's easy! Haha, omgosh YES! Let's collab! I loved how you were able to make a two minute video with no editing, I sit there going "uhhhh" "ummm..uhh what was I going to say?" literally every 15 seconds ha. Ahhh that'd be so cool! I seriously can't wait to get to Japan to take photos, I think I'm going to carry it around with me everywhere! It'll be less stressful than around here, I live in a really rough neighborhood in Minneapolis, Minnesota! I don't drive either so I only take it with me if I have rides home and back @.@ Oh if you know exactly what model your tablet is then you should be able to download the driver for it! Bokusenou I didn't until now, I like it xD One of my favorite shows is Prince of Tennis and they have such a big cast (200ish episodes) that they had so many character songs. It was also the first I ever heard of the voice actors singing their own songs, I was fangirling like mad (especially cuz I was like 15 haha)

Everyone probably has better programs already, but Adobe's currently offering free downloads of the full CS2 Suite here, and all you need to do to get them is make a free Adobe ID. There's a Google doc someone made with the download links and serial numbers here just in case the page ever goes down.

That's pretty cool, unfortunately I just subscribed to Adobe Photoshop CC (it's $10 a month for a year) but I'm so happy I finally have ittttt. I got it from my school but it didn't work on my old computer. Anyways so I finally finished my first photoshop piece! {edit: not my first photoshop piece, sorry, just my first super serious attempt at manga drawings in photoshop} It's of Beatrice from Umineko no Naku Koro Ni. It's a friend's request, and I decided (because she's a witch that caused, well, a lot of grotesque murder and then would laugh) to show her showing remorse. It's a big file and when it compressed it made it a lot darker so, hopefully you can see that, if not, picture it lighter I want to change the background color and there's a few mistakes I noticed after I posted it (go figure lol, mostly due to layering----those freaking layers!) {~REMORSE~}

Oh gosh Princess , this looks really amazing! Love all the colors, and the style of this piece! Her expression is so perfect too! (And no worries, a friend of mine here in the dorms told me to do exactly that and bookmarked the link for me to download pen pressure! I'll get around to it eventually... A little scared, I've worked without pen pressure for so many yearrrsss of my liffeeee!! *rolls up into a ball and shivers*) AND LOL, YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW HOW MANY TIMES I HAD TO RECORD THAT VIDEO. Recent dood!Inspired by hanging out with my talented art major, roommate-to-be koke lately. (രᴗര๑)

LittleGaijin aawwwhwhhw I love that soft airbrushed look, and that scarf omg. Pen pressure....I think I just keep mine on low but omg! My pen tip nib thing is wearing down, what do I do when it's all worn down!? Buy a new pen!? hahaha! I struggle with texture quite a bit but I think my next PS painting is going to be a little softer, less strictly anime or whatever. (It's Lucy & Natsu fanart, from Fairy Tail xP) and lolololol that makes me feel better, ugh I always have to do a million takes and there's so much in between time of me just staring at the camera like UGH KARI SAY SOMETHING COOL AGH xD The more you film the more editing you gotta do woman!

I have a question for the artists. I've been saying for months now that I want to get a drawing tablet for my partner so he can illustrate his blog. I guess it would make a nice Christmas present for him but I'm soo unbelievably docile when it comes to technology.
So my question is; what software do you use to draw? They all look pretty pricey, so I need to take this into account if I'm going to get JP one of these pads. Do they all require costly monthly subscriptions? That will be a bit harsh getting him a present he has to pay to use. Are there any usable free programs? Then he can use it right away and upgrade to something better only if he chooses.
I've tried to google this stuff myself but I got a bit confused by the search results.

Otherwise Paint tool SAI is free and is the top used amongst many digital artists! Also Wacom is always the go to for tablets!

I've tried to google this stuff myself but I got a bit confused by the search results. As Princess stated, those are two very good options. Fire Alpaca is also a good free option. Paint Tool Sai isn't actually free, but it's been cracked to no end. You can download it here. NOW. While I don't condone stealing things, I find it very ridiculous to pay (especially monthly) for a program that is very much necessary for anyone working with art. You can find out how to get Photoshop for free here. There's a lot of links, I personally use CS5 extended (portable). Sai is the best for lines. Fire Alpaca has more features than Sai. And Photoshop is great for editing. As for tablets I use Bamboo Fun CTH-460 (and 461). Best of luck~

I'm back now though and I've been drawing a bunch, my art is much nicer now, I'll have to draw you again sometime! OMG YOU CAME BACK! So happy right now! Missed seeing your beautiful artwork! We must trade again after or during my winter break! I'm living in Japan now, but I'm leaving the day after tomorrow for holiday in the Philippines for until January 8th! Then I'm coming back to Tokyo and starting school on the 13th again I believe. Love your Tobio by the way! ♡ Haikyuu is so crazy popular over here, I love it! Princess awww you're so sweet to me, thank you! And, TEACH ME HOW TO EDIT WHEN YOU GET HERE, OKAY! I don't even know where to begin with editing videos, I'm worse than noob level! Jembru there's not much more I can say that hasn't already been said, but I personally use Photoshop Elements 6.0, and a free downloaded copy of SAI that Vino linked earlier in this thread. (More Photoshop than Sai though, because I've been using PS pretty much all my life and making the switch is very difficult for me.) Photoshop came with my computer, but you can easily get it online. Then, my tablet came with a CD for me to install pen pressure... which I threw away by mistake because it said "Instructions" on the label... but one of my art major friends found a free driver for me to download on the Wacom website and now I have pen pressure! It's just a really nifty feature of tablets that allows your tablet to sense how hard or soft you're pressing. Makes the lines look different, and more like you're drawing on a piece of paper, not digital.

That's awesome to hear, I've sat down and watched so many sports anime because that's what all us cool kids are doing these days ( ) You seem to be everywhere doing everything as always that's good to hear! We should definitely trade again when you're free. I'm looking into colleges now, so who knows maybe we'll meet on the other side at some point!

New art alert! I'm super excited, an upcoming anime convention (which is the best one in my area, it's the only one that sells out MONTHS before hand and it's my first time to it!) is the only con in the area to do AMV and fanfiction contests, so I'm suuuper thrilled to show this to you guys!
This is my first ever AMV and I learned how to edit on Premiere Pro for this! (which needed to happen anyway for my J-vlog youtube channel xP)
I hope you all like it xO It's made with my favorite anime within the past two years or so (that I could actually get off Youtube, otherwise there'd be some prince of tennis in there mwahha)
