naitorii, people think she looks like a guy? I don't see that at all! Ooooh I know how you feel! I have a tiny little tablet with a 4x6inch drawing zone, which I always hold at a slant (because I can't write or draw unless my paper/tablet is slanted). Make drawing digitally super hard! It's much easier to draw off the computer, but the extra steps that comes with this process is really tedious sometimes. I have to say that using Photoshop is much easier than Sai, at least for me anyways! I've been using PS religiously for 8-9 years now, I don't know anything else. T____________________T

Reviving the thread again with my recent painting endeavors. The last two are wips. Will be adding some stenciled painted text to the middle one. It's good to make sure you balance out your digital AND traditional work once in a while, or you could loose the ability to do either traditional/digital art! I sure learned this the hard way, but I'm making progress again!

There's a type of art style I'd like to see. Someone who makes pictures using kanji. I'm guessing someone out there does it. Here's one I quickishly made as an example. Haven't found any art like this, all I get from google images is calligraphy.

LittleGaijin Wow, those are awesome! I especially like the typography on the first one. What font did you use? Or did you write it from scratch? 魔 Hmm, that is interesting...I've seen some art like that in English. The closest thing I can think of in Japanese is this kanji transformers set...You would think someone out there would make art using kanji.

Bokusenou aw, thank you! I actually don't know what font that was, but if you type "Game of Thrones - Winter is Coming" into Google, you can see the references I used and probably where you can get the font as well. I traced the font off one of those pictures, directly off my monitor, and then cut out a very makeshift stencil with my x-acto blade, and then painted over the stencil with black acrylic paint. Very tedious work! My grip is really hard on my wrist, so I don't usually do stencils very often if I think I can freehand something though. Finally finished my acrylic self motivation piece, and I freehanded the font in this one. 魔 ah, I see now. Do you mean typography art, but with kanji characters? Like Rin, I don't see that very often in other languages. But actually, in highschool I did AP art and my focus was Irish history and culture, and one of my portfolio pieces was digital typography in Irish (Gaeilge). So long ago, haha. I'd love to give kanji a try sometime! Could be fun!

LittleGaijin Oh, thanks! Found it! Warnock Pro...Hmm, I have that one, but your version looks much cooler. Maybe if I use grunge brushes over it... Don't be surprised if it shows up in one of my graphics later. XD Also, that "reach for the stars" one is really cute and well done!

Bokusenou thank you! Glad you found the font! Definitely share your awesome graphics in here; I love seeing them! (I remember stalking your deviantart page so long ago, haha. Your designs are amazing, you're so talented!)

Another art update! I've been playing around with SAI lately, and I'm finally getting the hang of things! This program makes doing line-art ridiculously easy; I don't even know how I've survived all these years without it...

Bokusenou動画は面白かったです。 After a google image search I found someone who's sort of done them. Rather than being art, they're puzzles. scilandのブログ工場 花火 筆入れ ゾウ 灯台

魔 Wow, those are really interesting! They remind me of "what am I?" riddles a bit, only visual. The only one I guessed correctly was the last one. XD

There are some amazing art pieces in here! I love to draw but I always get discouraged when I see other drawings that people make. Mostly I paint or make miniatures with polymer clay, I also paint doll faces and I really love photography. Some of my work

It's really nice to know that Gaiwa also has artist "corner" here. I always love seeing different art styles from various artists. I do have DeviantArt page but I'm no longer active on it. The latest online artist community I currently active is Pixiv. Maybe the only reason is because I want to focus my art style to be more "Japanese", since there are a lot of awesome Japanese artists on Pixiv. You can visit my Pixiv page here. And here are some of my illustrations: I'm not really good making line art so you will probably find most of my art "lineless". I'm looking forward to see another amazing art form post from you guys c:

(°o°;) Actually, I find that "lineless" art is very difficult to do (at least it is for me!), and I'm always jealous of artists when I see work of this quality! I mean, your work looks so professional! I especially love how you did Superman's hair with the slight brown gradient, and also your various designs at the bottom (that seagull is so adorable♡)! Very very impressed!! I'd really love to see our Gaiwachan logo in your style someday! I'd love to feature it up on the site!!
