I don't mind at all. I'm honored, in fact.

This was such a beautiful movie. Since it was made by studio Ghibli I'm sure everyone has seen it. If you haven't this is a must see!

wes1378 I remember watching that movie with my dad when I was in middle school (or at least, I think it was middle school!), and I started sobbing and asked him why the hell he let me watch it! Haha, so traumatized that I haven't watched it since! I'm sure that this is part of the reason why I can't manage to force myself to watch the latest Ghibli movie "風立ちぬ" ( The Wind Rises). If anyone has seen Wind Rises already, can you tell me how it was and if you think I could handle it?

Ah, Hotaru no Haka was so sad, I could also only watch it once.
I haven't seen Wind Rises yet. I'm hoping at least one local movie theater here will have it when it comes out, but if they only have the dub, like when they had Ponyo I might have to wait until March when the Japanese DVD comes out, and hope it pops up on streaming sites.

"The Great Passage" looks like a fun movie, I think I'll watch it!! Bokusenou, let me know if you cave and want to watch Wind Rises, because I might be able to find it online and in Japanese for you! (I'm really good at finding movies and shows online for free, haha.) I also don't like watching the English versions, at least not until I've seen the Japanese version first!!

Yeah, I might watch it too.^^
Thanks! Is it really out yet? The only reason I was thinking about seeing it in a movie theater, if I can find it subbed, is because it starts showing in late February and the Japanese dvd/blu-ray comes out in July. With Ponyo and Borrower Arrietty, I could only find streams and downloads after the Japanese dvd came out.

Bokusenou, eeeek, I searched around for the full movie online, and couldn't find it once-so-ever! Turns out this movie is on heavy lock down, and those who post the movie online from Japan are arrested, no questions asked. Sadly, we'll have to wait for this one to come out on DVD in either Japan, or outside of Japan, first. Japan's low tolerance for this kind of thing is a little scary!

LittleGaijinThanks for trying! Yeah, while I did watch a Japanese "cam" version of a movie somewhat recently, I think they are definitely becoming rarer. Guess I'll have no wait for the Japanese dvd to come out. Darn Camera Otoko ads!
