Just finished: Time Taxi, Itazura na Kiss (which looking at it now I just realized it's the drama version of the anime I watched years ago haha) and although Korean not Japanese, I feel the need to mention Dr. Jin which is amazing!
I LOVE TIME TRAVEL!
Does anybody have an jdrama recommendations related to time travel?

I LOVE TIME TRAVEL! Does anybody have an jdrama recommendations related to time travel? Off the top of my head: Drama: Mop Girl (she repeats days in order to solve crimes, so not exactly too time travel-ey, but I guess it'd count?) Movie: The Girl Who Leapt Through Time (時をかける少女), Thermae Romae (テルマエ・ロマエ, and its sequel) Or you could try some of these. Are you going to watch season two of Itazura na Kiss? It's currently airing, and I've got the first few episodes on my computer, but I haven't gotten around to watching it yet.

Anyone watching any dramas this season? I'm planning on watching Gakkou no Kaidan, Second Love, and Itazura na Kiss 2. If anyone's interested, you can watch the first episode of Gakkou no Kaidan (and every episode after that after they air) for free on the official website (you may need Hola! Unblocker/Hola! Better Internet enabled first though!). I got excited because I thought Gakkou no Kaidan was going to be 怪談 but it turned out it's 階段... Oh well! Anyway, I'll probably try out all the detective dramas and... Ghostwriter! The trailer looked really good! A famous writer suddenly loses her inspiration and is pushed to get a ghostwriter instead. It's about 'the dark side of the publishing industry' and it looks like it'll be a serious, dramatic drama! I haven't watched one of those for a while so I'm excited!

I started the first episode, I have crunchyroll but.........the summary isn't very catching, I loved the show but Naoki's persistence on never getting with her was a little too drawn out for me to seem realistic. So the thought of "they switch wives" or whatever the first summary was, like, THEY'RE MARRIED. WHAT. YOU DON'T SWITCH. But I'll probably watch it eventually ^^

Thanks for the recommendations Rin! I started watching Mr Nietzche before my hiatus but didn't really get into it. It seemed pretty funny though, so I might have just been in the wrong state of mind for it at the time. I'll check out the others when I get a chance though. I haven't watched anything in Japanese for over 3 months now so I could probably use the listening practice! My favourite drama on Crunchyroll so far has been 'I'm Mita, your Housekeeper'. It's dark, being about a family in the aftermath of their mother's suicide, but also really touching. I cried a lot! I also enjoyed 'No Dropping Out; Back to school at 35'. Also pretty dark. Hmm.. I was in a weird place before the break in hindsight ^^

Jembru Yeah, I think Mr Nietzsche's based on a gag manga, which basically becomes short comedy skits when adapted into a drama, so if the first episode wasn't your thing, the rest probably won't be either. I watched a few episodes of "I'm Mita"! The acting didn't really work for me for some reason, but watching what Mita when ordered was amusing. Other (non-Crunchyroll) drama I've watched semi-recently: mydramalist.com/12466-mondai-no-aru-restaurantA dark though hopeful take on the challenges Japanese women face in the workplace. Really surprised this was written by a guy. The first three episodes are kind of hard to get through, but then things get better. mydramalist.com/14461-tamiouA comedy about the prime minister of Japan & his not that bright son switching bodies. The son has to try to handle ruling the country, while the father needs to get used to college (university) classes & job interviews. Just what I needed when the US election coverage keeps getting more awful..

This is a really good drama I watched: mydramalist.com/30798-we-are-made-of-miraclesThe main character studies animals and his zest & curiosity about life and the natural world is super contagious. ^-^ I loved how inspiring this drama was and totally recommend it if you're looking for something good to watch.

Oh this sounds right up my street, and I am indeed in search of some good drama (crunchyroll is so bad for drama.. it never adds anything new ^^). Thanks for the recommendation!
