Blade Chronicle(ブレイドクロニクル) 和ファンタジーMMORPG
Here is the me of a year ago playing it.(It was nice to see how much better my Japanese is now) I used this guide to install it a year ago. - link
The main site - link
Some videos by a Japanese guy. playing and talking - linkA good point is you don't need to use a Japanese IP to play.(I'm in England, but I guess other countries work too) カオス ヒーローズ オンライン -CHAOS HEROES ONLINE- MOBAIt's a league of legends/dota type game. You need a Japanese Ip to download/play/update it. But I found a nice program to use. SoftEther VPN
Now when I want to play it, I change to a Japanese IP using that and then I can play the game fine. I didn't know about that program before I tried playing it. When I switched my Ip with internet explorer it didn't seem to work( I was able to download it but not update or play it) Main site - linkAn article with screenshots - linkBoth are free and have lots of Japanese to read.

Nico Nico apps has a lot of online browser games. I haven't tried that many yet. The most interesting so far is this one - 魔法学校アヴァロンYou create a little paper person then wander around a castle maybe. It seems pretty big, when I was in the elevator there were around 30 something floors. It's also a card fighting game It has an auto play feature where the computer plays for you. To get more cards you fight the teachers. There is a timetable showing what time the teachers appear, and if you beat them you get a card.

So what games does everyone else play? Here I am posing with a chicken on Blade Chronicle. (The chicken killed me after the picture was taken) Here I am in my pyjamas on avalon. I made a new account on the website artifact.jp . It has 2 other games you can play using the same character. You can try avalon here as a guest - link

Wow, these look so cool 魔! Unfortunately I don't really have any games to add, as mostly I've just been playing mystery visual novels and Ni no Kuni on my phone, using emulators. None of those are multi-player so I don't think they count, but I'll check out the ones you linked when I have more time.

Awesome list D! You truly are the master when it comes to finding game related resources! The timing of this thread couldn't have been better either. I've just posted the next language exchange article on the homepage, and this time it was about exchanging online! Of course, I had to give you a little mention in there ^^ I might consider writing a specific 'using games as a study tool' article some time. If so, I'll probably need to pick your brains a little, as you are our resident expert in that field!

I tried ameba pigg. Seems the most social game so far. I caught some fish and beat someone at othello. I don't really have any special study methods for games at the moment. Just mainly looking up words. Avalon has this page that lists the basic cards - link . So I can look them up on there and then try reading them ingame. For Blade chronicle, I watch the Japanese let's player.

I used to play ameba pigg!
It was fun to chat with random people and practice my Japanese on there, but eventually it got really boring and disappointing with how much I couldn't buy or do because I didn't have "amegold" or whatever it's called. It seemed like everyone on that site was constantly using their phones/credit cards to waste so much money...
I switched to LINE play, but I can't find many people chatting in Japanese because my app and ipod are region locked I think. Oh well! Now I'm addicted to Puzzle and Dragons, and it's really fun.
